Chennai Police

First of all police themselves are not obeying the rules, i personally saw one policemen riding the bike while speaking on the cell phone simultaneously, there are few who rides the bike or drives the police car in a wrong route, overall they do not give respect to citizen, they behave as if they are the god

When we are facing floods in Dec/2015 when asked for help they replied that I should contact Chennai Corporation and the rescue is not their duty.

Excellent .The services to the public like the watch of AUTOS WITH NO METER in extended chennai city like Sholinganallur ,akkarai,Medavakkam ,Thambaram has to be implemented as per Law.

The Chennai police by far have been controlling the crimes though they have gone down in rating compared to earlier years.But still there is effort to pursue and resolve crimes in TamilNadu. The night patrolling has been good and they should still monitor closely and bring down crime rates.Coming to traffic management our city traffic control is much better compared to other cities.However I would find fault with the way the traffic management is planned.For example, in many road junctions there is invariably auto stands put by the local auto drivers which is creating major traffic hurdle The drivers use this as teir assembly point and make merry and even go to the extent of drinking on Sundays in their autos parked at such places.This needs to be controlled to improve traffic and other law and order problems.The other issue is near Banks and Bank ATMs it has become a nightmare to pass thro because of hapazardous parking of all vehicles be it two wheelers or four wheelers.This needs to be delat with severely to bring order.Even putting up shops near road junctions should be checked and controlled.
The latest issue has been the building of big kerb wall in the meridian to bifurcate the road and also the yellow line marking on half / one third the width of raod on either side.This has resulted in major part of road being occupied by parked vehicles with very small passage available for vehicular movement.The worst is pedestrians have nowhere to go with this arrangement
