No, not punctual. In fact, the garbage collection van is rarely seen. Even when, it appears, it creates comic scenes. On one side, there is a loud speaker announcing the arrival of the van and on the other people taken by surprise rush to collect their garbage and try to toss around their garbage bags from their first or second floor balconies direct into the open lorry and most of the bags falling off hilter skelter. A good video can be made for telecasting on a comedy show if not for anything else.

I wonder, why a system like that being practiced in most European countries be followed in India. People keep their garbage bags outside their door on two weekdays when a van comes and simply collects quietly.

Although punctual the open overflowing transportation leaves little to hygiene/ swatchta. We too help little and are not conscious of cleanliness

Garbage collection very poor. Dhalaos always overflow spewing garbage on road. Loaders always carry the garbage in open trucks. Sweepers dump the garbage in drains or in vacant plots of land
