More awareness campaigns required to propagate greater use of bio-friendly/health friendly remedies (like ayurveda) instead of allopathy.
Patients dont have to go always to doctors and instead can take care of their health themselves for primary care level
This department is working its best in allowing the Medicines and healthcare of Ayurveda , Naturopathy, Unani , Siddha, Yoga and even in Homeopathy to many places of the Coountry befitting the poor, common and general public and even competing the English/Allopathy which has become too costly .
The promotion of healthcare extending the coverage of Insurance Policies really befitted the general public those who know about the provision .
The recent issue of covering 50 lakh Families with Health Insurance is to be best routed to all the places of every State to have a real success in the present OPPOSITIONS WORKING FOR DILUTION OF ALL WELFARE PROVISIONS AND PROGRAMS OF ALL SECTORS including industrial and livelihood INFRA .
As far as health is concerned we should adopt alopethic medicines from MD. Though it costs more but it is through procedure to diagnose the disease. The Ayurveda is a some what long procedure and it doesn't assure the perfect remedy. In some cases like raspirtory, mussule pain etc it may be useful.

In india an BAMS qualified person is not equivalent to MBBS, though more than 50% believe in Ayurvedic treatment. Even an BAMS qualified person cannot certify medical fitness of a person as he cannot issue MEDICAL CERTIFICATE even to sportsman as per Supports authority of India , Delhi site.
