Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH)

Huge infrastructure worth several crores in Public sector IDPL units in Hyderabad, Rishikesh Gurgon and Chennai with ready tp use Housing colonies for staff are lying idle over 2 decades. They should be put tp use by AYUSH or better still given on lease to Patanjali for rResearch and manufacture of Ayurvedic Drugs.

Price Control mechanism is needed for medicines in this group of AYUSH, just like for Alopathy medicines.

Despite multiple requests, this Department and Ministry has failed to engage with citizens on guiding them on various AYUSH related questions and issues. Yoga Day is a good initiative though and has established India's leadership in the subject via this Ministry's effort.

Does anyone know what this ministry does other than a yoga day. Should be shut down frankly.
