Several substandard and spurious fertilizers are sold in the market. More over chemical fertilizers are sold as bio product. No control on the Markets

Organic Fertilisers derived out of cattle urine and dung should be popularised with some support in making the pits and others as well as transfer pumps etc. Dependence on Chemical fertilisers should be brought down.

As long as we have problem of kitchen waste (Green / wet waste) - Department of Fertilizer has no meaning. It is the prime responsibility of Fertilizers Dept - to make sure we consume 100% of compost, only after that we require urea or other fertilizers. India produces very little neptha - a staring raw material for all Fertilizers currently used, but leguminous fertilizers - India have raw material in abundance. In fact we have problem to dispose them.
