I wish to express deepest disappointment over the reliability of BMW cars. I brought a BMW 520D from Deutsche Motoren, Moti Nagar, New Delhi in July 2014 and buying this car from Mr. Puneet Tandon from Deutsche Motoren, Moti Nagar was the biggest mistake I have ever made.
Since the first day we did not like the dealing of Mr Puneet Tandon, on several occasions he failed to deal on ethical grounds. Therefore at the time of feedback we gave all complaints to customer care department of BMW and gave him 1 score in customer satisfaction out of 5.
We very specifically asked him about insurance and he confirmed that our insurance cover everything, I repeat he said “everything”. He did not show us any insurance documents. Moreover he also confirmed that we are also getting BMW Secure Advance which again covers each and every thing and it is for customer's peace of mind.
On 10th August 2014, I drove my BMW out to meet our relatives in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi for a festival gathering. However it was raining after we were returning from their house in Lajpat Nagar we reached a puddle of water which was not even a feet, one of the Audi A4 car and Hyundai Verna went through smoothly and when I went through the puddle of water, my car stalled. It caused such a havoc for me as the nearest BMW dealer on Deutsche Motoren, Mehrauli Road was closed on Sunday and we were left with no other option. Finally after some time we managed to get it stalled from some other private company and dropped the car at Deutshe Motoren, Mehrauli Road, Faridabad at the parking space of their service station
Next day after I visited to service station, they started checking my car and informed me that my car’s repair will cost me about 1 Lac rupees. This is a ridiculous amount and I was thinking to myself, for just crossing a puddle of water which is not even a feet and I have to pay 1 Lac rupee. On asking about the insurance they said our insurance does not cover Hydraulic Lock… Now what is that…. I was very clearly told by the sales person that our insurance covers everything,
Buying this BMW car has created a lot of problem for me as I have not only lost confidence on BMW selling ethics but also also I have lost the followings :-
· Lost of usage of car for about a month.
· Lost of reputation.
· Phobia in driving the car again. Causes me to pay so much for crossing a puddle of water.
