I fully agree that both HUDA and MCF are doing nothing but talks. Mosquitoes are in millions in every corne. Dust is abundant. I shifted from Delhi after working in Ahmedabad and Raigarh and found Faridabad a good place to settle. But corruption and wasting time by staff and officials of HUDA Is indigestible. CM and other high profile leaders should take serious and sincere action to end these things and clean the administration which in turn will improve things.
MCF is really in bad shape, No action on any complaints. You have to run pillar to post or you have take help from private company to get the job done.
All said & done, whatever has been mentioned is nothing new. Question is we are still at loggerheads amongst ourselves resulting in disunity which further leads to chaos. In my opinion, a concerted united & coordinated action has to be taken for preventing and/or clearing the mess which has occurred by literally pulling up the socks of the corporation even if the Government may have to be apprached.
The municipal corporations are not functioning proper. Possibly that is the reason the smart city campaign has not taken off for Faridabad. One can find heaps of garbage every where. The water and sewage problem is very serious in the city and no one seems to be bothered.
I had shifted from Sector 35 (Ashoka III) to Suryanagar, Sec 91, which is on the other side of the canal. The following are few of my observations: The Faridabad Municipal Corpn does not seem to be functionally effective in our area. a) Almost every road has encroachment by shopkeepers . Also single-floor houses create gardens, parking areas in such a way that a few feet on each side of the road is treated as personal property. b) Construction of flats are mostly of sub-standard quality and there appears to be no physical verification by municipal officers. c) The open drainage (in the connecting road from Pala to Sector 91) is in such an awful shape, that it would be the greatest pollutant and a serious health hazard. A few lakhs, if not crores, of mosquitoes could have been bred in these waters - not to speak of faeces and other waste products. Drains are overflowing on almost 7 days of the week and there is no ADMINISTRATIVE or POLITICAL will to improve the living conditions. God knows what will happen during the rainy season! d) Pollution due to building construction is quite high. I have buildings coming on both sides of my residence. The result is that my house has become damp and the paint/cement has started peeling off in a number of places. Though, the builder involved has promised to rectify the situation, we have to wait and watch.
