There are no garbage bins provided for the pedestrians resulting in them littering the roads. Garbage collectors spill it while dumping garbage in the van Often the van is overflowing thus leaving trails of garbage on the roads which is unhygienic and prone to spread of diseases Suggestion : We can have improved garbage vans with closed lids and top loading like the way they have in other countries. This way it can be hygienically carried, the garbage collectors are not infected, the vans won't overflow and we can prevent diseases from spreading in the citty
Garbage is picked up from homes by paid collectors is happening. No segregation and proper collection by BMC. Waste is thrown on Road side by poor families not having such collectors is a nuisance and BMC has not tackled it effectively. Similarly, tree/plant pruning are thrown on road sides which are allowed to decay breeding flies and other insects. No regular collection. Dog keepers take their dogs to roads and allow them to shit on road sides, again adding to the agony of others. Proper and regular measures to create awareness for preventing the above and managing them properly by BMC is very essential
The garbage pickup vehicles carry garbage and spread the garbage and foul smell all the way. They park the vehicle wherever they want and create a filthy smelling air in the area. The vehicle staff sell the plastic which they have picked up from garbage to raddiwala. So the area at the raddiwala shop starts stinking. Why they can't complete the task of collection and transport before the garbage starts decaying and stinking? Why can't they do at night, like they collect from restaurants?
I am at Garoldianagar. Here the Garbage Pick up van comes only on alternate days. Most of the trees in the area were trimmed and the leaves and roots are dumped on the pavements on the roads. They are still lying uncleared, creating unbearable smell.
I've called the BMC helpline several times and they take a long time to clear the garbage, comprising tree branches and household refuse, sometimes after 3 weeks! I don't pay taxes to live with garbage. Someone should take responsibility, even if it means going house to house to educate people not to throw garbage on the streets. The BMC needs to pick it up on a daily basis.
Garbage collection guy has no proper time. Some days he comes very early in the morning between 4 and 5 am. Some days he does not even come. I request him to come after 6am regularly
Household Garbage Collection issue for working class. Municipality doesn't collect garbage even if segregated and asks us to throw the garbage to the vans. As we are unavailable during day time it becomes really difficult to dispose garbage.

Garbage trucks are old and frequent breakdown is common problem. Number of residential area and commercial set up has increased. Only 1 vehicle to collect is not enough .
