GHMC is least concerned about hygiene and cleanliness.It is a vast organization and is poorly governed.It does not follow scientific management.The Mayor's qualification is that he stopped some trains during the Telangana agitation by staging Rail Roko and went to jail.The Deputy Mayor's qualification is that he applied coal tar to the statue of the late Brahmananda Reddy at KBR Park.How can such ill educated people be expected to run an organization as complex as the GHMC? The less said about the Councilors the better.The Commissioner is merely a Chamcha of KCR.One should not expect anything good from the GHMC.

Street vendors and hawkers are concentrated at busy road junctions making them most congested spaces in the city. Lakhs of hawkers and street vendors do business on walkways and roads forcing pedestrians to walk on the roads in the middle of heavy traffic thus risking their lives.

It has become a very serious problem now-a-days to pass through the narrow lanes of some residential colonies by a 04 wheeler, as it gets stuck in the middle of the road due to parking of private vehicles in front of the houses. The worst part is that most of the residents have encroached the front portion of their houses by building chabutras and temporary sheds further narrowing the roads. We can notice traffic jams even in the residential colonies due to improper parking in front of kirana/general stores, tiffin centers, pan shops, fast food centers. There is no strict rule on unauthorized parking by the traffic department . I strongly suggest that the GHMC officials and traffic personnel should come together and pull down all unauthorized structures and demolish all chaabutras. Strict rules need to be implemented without further delay...

Colonies are getting invaded and the public space is getting usurped.While their right to hawk cannot be denied, a well defined regulation with a strict "Go and No Go" zone shall be implemented, with facilities created for the purpose. Need to take a holistic view with a well planned and executed project at appropriate places.

Generally, in Hyderabad City Banjara Hills, Jubillee Hils, Hi-Tech City and other surrounding areas are focused by GHMC for development and further development because these areas are dominated by politicians, Bureaucrats, Industrialists and other creamy layer people. Most of the other parts of Hyderabad are not at all concentrated for development by GHMC. In most of the trade centres namely Basheerbagh, Secunderabad, Himayathnagar, Koti and other surrounding areas unauthorised elements are collecting parking fees without any proper licence issued by GHMC. Even this fraudulant activities still prevails at Police Control Room and LB Stadium areas which is pity because Police Officials are not bothered to check such activities. During the year 1980 to 2000 these areas were considered as main centres and maximum commercial revenues fetched by Government. Even today these areas still considered as important trade centre but not considered as commercial centre. In all these areas shops, restaurants, hotels, banks, vehicle show rooms are situated and the approach roads are flooded with mostly four wheelers. During peak hours the situation is alarming. The road conditions of these areas are in danger during rainy season. Added to that hawkers, vendors are plenty in numbers that too before the shops. These shops were issued licences by the Commissioner of Labour, Government of Telangana under Shops & Establishments Act. Once issuance of Labour Licence became on line no Labour Officer visit these shops whether they are holding valid licences or not. These shops licences should be revoked and penalised if they encourage hawkers and vendors before their shops.

Above all, it is shame on the part of Police Department. Enforcement Recovery Police Officials made a habit to visit the main trade centres to alert the hawkers and vendors. While they come these hawkers and vendors will either pay tips or they will hide their products till they go away. It is advisable State Government should give strict instruction to GHMC Enforcement Wing should penalise all the road side hawkers and vendors who are unauthorisedly selling inferior quality of foods, fruits, etc. so that the road nuisance can be completely eleminated. This nuisance is very alarming in old city area where even police forces are afraid to intervenue in the matter because the constituency is dominated by AIMIM party which usually encourage minority community to gain vote bank. Further, the State Govt. is ruled by TRS and AIMIM is a friendly party to TRS and Dy CM is also belongs to minority community.

Immediate steps should be taken by State Government.
