GHMC parks have been encroached by temples, cricket academies and parking garages which are being run as highly profitable commercial establishments/businesses with zero land cost and with totally negative environmental impacts on the immediate surrounding areas. Some of these parks have also been encroached by the adjacent builders. Parks are also inappropriately used for various miscellaneous purposes with many structures by the governmental bodies. overall situation is highly diplorable.

Most of the play grounds in greater Hyderabad have been totally killing quality of life of millionos of residents living in the immediate surrounding areas as they are located too close to the residential buildings.

I have been trying a lot for development of Colony park at Vinayak Nagar, Shaikpet on shaikpet to manikonda road, and for this consulted GHMC who said the proposed area for park development comes under HMWSSB hence contacted and gave requisition to HMWSSB who gave NOC for development and later submitted to GHMC but within GHMC there are various departments like Urban Biodiversity, Engineering, Town Planning hence found that there is a lack of Co-ordination among the departments, Hence the colony association representatives have to be mediators/medium of Communication so that other departments start their work.

The Posh Areas where there are highly influential persons get all attention and parks are developed but there is no uniformity as equal development of parks is not found

The least bother, how many parks to be there for community.

Jagadgiri gutta is a highly poplulated area, but we dont have a single play ground or park for our children and families. We have a huge open land belongs to HMT which is lying vacant and as a dumping yard. I request the local authorities to develop some part of the land into park and play ground so our children can grow healthy.
