There is a need to arrange some proper place for hawkers to enable them to sell their commodities and earn their lively hood.
The place should not only be suitable for the hawkers but for the purchasers of the commodities , besides suitable arrangement for parking. With all these arrangements in place only can the satisfactory management of the hawkers be expected to be in place on sustainable basis.

Though conducts raid on street vendors/ hawkers, the same is not effective. The reasons may be varying from corruption among personnel to the lenient view taken and releasing the impounded items. Stern action in the form of impounding of the articles and not giving back to the vendors and hefty fines may prove to be useful to prevent such menace of hawkers.

We don't see any management for hawkers. It's totally negative. Encroachment can be seen by the hawkers everywhere. MCG is totally failed in this regard. Even policemen on duty in bazars can be seen unconcerned about hawkers and encroachment. Best example is Sadar Bazar area,sector 14 market etc.

MCG corporators are good but jointly what they do or achieve is far far below standard. Old fashioned thinking is seen even among the youg members. May be they are not able to come out clean on corruption or may be they have no say in development works. State Govt and burocracy overshadows..
