Traffic management needs further improvement. As we see the police normally shifts the problem instead of solving it. Example: on the intersections, the mid divider is closed and the traffic is diverted for right turn through two U-turns. This makes the congestion at two U-turns by eliminating right turn at intersection. One example is Rajiv Chowk - Sohna Road. Traffic signals, if broken by accident, are never brought back for months and years. One Example is Signal at South City-1 on Santoshi Maa Road. Absence of one signal light makes the traffic jam now and then.......
Traffic management in Gurugram is pathetic, sometimes I wonder if there is any. Indisciplined Citizen are themselves to be blamed besides official apathy. To start, officials need to promote rule compliance through compaign of awareness, followed by strict regulation and penalties.
There is huge scope for improvement. First and foremost is to ensure that all traffic lights work 24x7, for which terms of contracts with the concerned vendors need a strict review and enforcement. Police constables normally remain focused on challans of commercial vehicles , many a times at the cost of normal proper management of other major traffic requirements.

Hyderabad police being active during the nights has brought in a lot of confidence to ordinary citizens like me. Keep it up although I think police needs to interact more with civil society and make themselves more approachable
