Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM)

3 rd catagori worst station. I think Hazarat nizamuddin station is shame to the Indian Railways and to Delhi, the proud capital the nation. We should feel shame that we in India capital city have such a worst and pathaic railway station. No food, No toilets, No water, No rest chairs, No passnger inquiry booth................. . It is difficult to belive that If you have a reservation ticket and want to rest for sometime, you will find it difficult o locate the rest room even chairs to sit. Really unbelivable.

3rd Rate entry,many trains are starting and ending but station is not updated as per expectation

1. entering this station is a nuisance from either side. God only knows why the prime entry was made tho' a residential colony with speed breakers at every 100 yard!. The coolie cartel on the plat no. 1 side is to be seen to be believed. On the other side it is free for all. No rule no discipline. terribly encroached by hawkers, autowallahs who will not go to short or medium distance destination, no police control of crowd.
2. there is no proper metro connectivity
3. No /inadequate escalators.
4. Very narrow platforms with severe overcrowding. It appears that in a hurry to create a new terminal no planning was done and once declared as a terminal every thing was forgotten.
5. very poor catering service.

NZM station has multiple problems which i highlighted previously also.
1. both approach roads are not in tune with a major metro station. platform no1 side is the main entrance and one has to pass thro' a residential area for a fairly long distance with multiple speed breakers. on Sarai kale khan side, there is complete anarchy. So semblence of any orderliness what so ever.
2. no prepaid taxi boths on any side; so it is free for the taxi caucus to decide the loot.
3. no nearby metro station within walking distance.
4. no adequate facilities for refreshment s anywhere except in one corner of platform no1.
5.. No escalators / ramp
6.Porters routinely overcharge.
7. Administrative offices are on plat no1 but no long distance trains leave or arrive on it. Thus the best platform is not utilized for commercial purposes. Other platforms are very narrow.
