1) HDFC Bank does give a printed booklet which lists all their charges and T&C . However, this booklet runs into several pages, is printed on absolutely fifth-class paper, and is printed in such small a font size as to be almost unreadable, even with the help of glasses. If the Bank were sincere about disclosure of charges, it would ensure that their customers are able to easily read and understand the basic banking charges which are applicable to 90% of their customers - the remaining 10% customers having dealings related to OD / Foreign Remittances / etc are few and are mainly corporates.
2) Even in the case of Minor Accounts, HDFC levies quarterly charges for sending SMS / Emails. They are unable to comprehend the simple fact that such Minor Accounts are opened not only to encourage savings in the name of children, but to accumulate money for the child's higher education and future prospects. However, all HDFC cares about are their CHARGES !!! CSR ? Nope, dunno what that means !!
