The company seems to have poor after sales warranty services. A visit to the public domains is the testimony to what has been stated above. A consumer who had given his mobile for service on 12th January 2015 is still struggling to get back his mobile back as on date of writing the review. Some of the complaints found on public domain are reproduced:
1. My ticket number is 15INA080002135 I produced my device on Feb 16 2015 but still know i didn't received my device or any status of the device all your representatives are saying that the parts are not available for my device that is your repair teams issue not mine...I complaint about this many times and also have the call recordings and chat text with me about the same ...I have contacted ur persons more than 15 times via chat and call... i need my device replace and delivered to me by at least 23 of this month, ... i am waiting for past one month it feel horrible and disgusting that i bought ur...
2.Hi, I have submitted my phone at HTC service centre at “TVS Electronics Ltd, C-102, 1st Floor, C-Block, Ansal Plaza, Khel Gaon Marg, HUDCO Place, New Delhi - 110049” Also there Executive asked you can visit with in 10 to 15 days your device delivered but I have try to collect my device last 3 days but its pending from service centre also repairing not completed also CCE inform it wil take more 40 days request to please check and resolved the issue. 3.I bought a desire 816g on 15 Jan 2015, IMEI-355702062934734 & it started giving me problem from day one of use. Problems encountered by me are1. Phone gets hanged every now and then & especially in the middle of a conversation.2. Battery drains tremendously within minutes after charging.3. Hands free has stopped working.4. Data cable provided with the package has stopped working.I submitted this set to Kamlanagar, new Delhi service centre on 9/3/15. Tkt no. Q3S15030900054, with the above mentioned complaints.They assured me that phone's motherboard would be replaced but now they are refusing...
4.This is in reference to my smartphone repair which is still undergoing with HTC. I submitted my phone on 31st Dec 2014 at E-mall Kolkata for service as it was overheating every now and then. It was told me to me by the service center that it will take around 20days and I was OK with that. But now today it is 17th March 2015 and still I dont have my phone with me. Last week i got a call from the escalation team as well that my phone will be at the service center by last monday i.e 9th March 2015 and its not ready yet.
The above is the only sample which reflects that consumers are suffering about poor quality and after sales service problem. HTC are no doubt cheaper brands but the price is not the only criteria to purchase the product. What matters is the how good is the after sales service back up which in this case seems to be very poor.
