ICICI bank changed my address including name of the road, pin no, area name, name of my society; without even informing me. I had to go helter skelter to submit proof & get my address rectified. When I had a major urgent surgery & my surgery got cancelled because my debit card suddenly stopped working because without my knowledge & without my consent ICICI had issued a credit card on my name, which was sent to my old house which address I had changed 3 years back & had given that house on rent. I didn't get help from the bank since it was a Saturday. I had this account for 10 years, unfortunately because my salary could come only into an ICICI account. Despite being on the National Do Not Disturb list & giving in writing & filling a form not to receive advertising emails & informing them in writing that I hate life insurance I used to regularly receive insurance sms & emails apart from other nonsensical advertisements. The employees are courteous but never do any work at all. You have travel to the bank repeatedly & waste your precious time to get any tiny work also done. After I changed my job the first thing I did was close that ICICI bank account.

Due to their pathetic customer service I had closed my ICICI demat account & ICICI bank account in January by personally visiting Akruti & Jogeshwari West branch & closing it. I had submitted all the relevant cheque books, debit cards & forms which they made me fill. I have both the closure slips as well. Since demonitization (& not before demonitization) I am receiving emails from ICICI demant about statements. When you click the unsubscibe link it asks you to enter bank details. If you click spam, next day another similiar email still comes into your inbox. ICICI is horrible. I am just afraid they haven't reopened my bank account. I taught HDFC a very good lesson last year for reopening my account which I had closed 3 years back. I thinkso ICICI is going to be my next followup with OMBUDSMAN. Pathetic ICICI even after closing the account you receive Life insurance spam emails. For 10 years I kept writing to them that I HATE life insurance & I am on the National DO NOT DISTURB list.

It took me about 3 hours to en-cash a cheque of 10000/- but the staff & arrangements were fine enough. This money is sufficient for about 4-5 days hence I had not been to any bank/ATM further. I think that people should do this too. This will reduce panic & lines at Banks.

services have deteriorated without a doubt. the bank shows promptness when they r revising charges but when it comes to offering services they fail. i have a demat account with their dadar branch and inspite of some changes in my account, no statement is recd. i had a relationship manager assigned but the bank fails to inform me as and when they quit. i realise it only when i face any issue and am forced to visit my branch.
