The power supply provided by Mescon is pretty poor. There is regular load shedding and frequent voltage fluctuation or low voltage because of inadequate supply. Also the Mescom thinks that it is its right to cut power one day in a week by making an announcement in the local paper. This is simply absurd and affects businesses adversely. The Mescom is not doing the customers a favour by supplying power especially when we pay the market rate for it. The main reason for this inefficiency is that it is a govt. enterprise. The employees are grossly over paid. Contract labour which is underpaid ends up doing all the risky work while the permanent guys just take it easy and put out very little work.

A lot needs to be done to bring in some accountability and efficiency so that customers get uninterrupted power 24X7.
