In our area, Picnic Garden, there are open drains, which KMC people are cleaning very rarely. Open vat, where cleaning is not at all satisfactory. With a normal rain , waterlogging is a very common feature. Sometimes KMC peoples are coming with spray machine for killing mosquito but with long interval, which is not sufficient .

Our area in Bramhapur, P.O. Bansdroni, Kolkata 700070, the underground sewerage construction, for reason best known to KMC, has not been undertaken. The areas around has had this benefit, but to keep our area outside its ambit is not understood. Open drains is a source of breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies. During rains these open drains get flooded and the residents have to trudge though this filth on a regular basis. The sight is terrible. With the advanced technology that we have these days, why can't this be done on a priority basis. We can dig metro tunnels in crowded streets then why not here.
