Practically there is absolutely no effort from the govt side to animal management particularly stray dogs. Recently it was in the news that a person travelling on a two wheeler was chased by dogs and out of fright he rushed and crashed loosing his life. This is not a subject in KMC's time table. The question is what is big about it when the the there is very little about managing and maintenance of road. Every day there are many accidents purely on account of poor road conditions. The most of the roads are full of potholes when in such a situation where does the time on management of animals. Ofcourse we are blessed in Bengal by the goddess Kali and matters not going very much out of hands.
If I could rate nagative. There is no management kind of thing for stray animals. Dogs, cats and even rats are among the disturbing elements. Stray dogs and cats makes the roads & locality dirty while rats contribute in scattering of garbage etc. No hope from W.B Govt or Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
Very poor management. Increasing numbers of cats and dogs are a threat to the safety of citizens and also contribute to environmental pollution by defecating anywhere and everywhere. The Government also needs to take stringent measures as far as breeding of stray animals is concerned.
