Not upto the standard. They take their own sweet time to remove carcass of the animals killed in accident or dumped on the road. Need to pull up their socks.

HORRIBLE, to say the least. Sometimes wonder whether such a department exists withing the corporation. Never seen active in removing/sterilizing stray dogs. Sometimes even cows are seen in the midst of lanes.

Absolutely horrible, there is no strategy or infrastructure, pound facilities are abysmal. Roads are overflowing with strays, who are often killed by vehicular accidents. Not only is the stray animal population dangerous for human beings, it is terrible cruelty to the animals themselves.

Baranagar Municipality. Just northern of KMC area. No management at all.
Huge population of street dogs. Most of the lanes are risky to walk alone. Nearer or distant barking never lets people to sleep well at night.
Moreover, police come in favour of those who feed the dogs on road/allow them to make nuisance.
