Management of stray animals is very very poor in my locality Bidhannagar, Kolkata. Hardly I have found this municipality has taken any drive for sterilization or catching of stay dogs which roam menacingly on roads in such a way that any one, while driving, can make an accident to save them.

literally speaking, not a single municipality in West Bengal cares about stray animal management. In hospitals patients are getting bite of cats - in outdoor departments of hospitals stray animals loiter freely and visitors feed them with the flaunt that are real pet lovers. West Bengal Government does not have any statute about stray animals, as it seems.
Very poor stray animals' management in Kolkata. But I think we should assign the blame to the Kolkata citizens some of whom actually raise hue and cry when the stray animals are removed by the KMC. Pigs especially are causing the filth to spread in the localities as they are reared by some local communities.
