Kolkata Municipal Corporation has improved in cleaning the roads but it has to go a long way to be at par with the cities in advanced countries.

Garbage cleaning in our area is not at all satisfactory. Open Vat, garbage on road is a very common factor here I.e. in Kustia Road area. While corporation is not sincere about garbage cleaning, local people also not at all conscious about this.

This is Girindra Sekhar Bose Road from Lalkuthi Jol-tanki to Kasba New Police Station remain uncleaned most of the time for the garbage scattering due to local market and street-dogs and conscious indisciplined public. Constant care and propaganda for local-awareness is must.

Ballygunj Phari,Gariahat,are dirty a with garbage in plastics are kept on pavements by the street dwellers.. Plastic full of garbage are kept under the nose of the police under the flyovers.
