Roads are dirty and not maintained in the Thakurpukur- Behala stretch. Stone chips are left almost every where on the road. Construction of metro does not mean that the safety of drivers and pedestrians has to be compromised. I don know when will the concerned people learn.
Street lights are not switched off early in the mornings

However hard our Mamataji may try to keep Kolkata clean, the people inhabiting the State will not let it happen. The whole of Kolkata is littered with cough paaner pik. There is not much difference between the people and the animals here. They both help to keep the city dirty. Feel sorry for her. She must now enact a law where spitting in the street will invite a penalty of not less than Rs.2000/- in the first instance and increased further It must be a deterrent
Alipore Avenue is a quiet road but used as a dumping ground for garbage as it's a bit isolated. Action needs to be taken to clean it periodically and also adequate bins installed for the garbage to be accumulated prior to disposal. The sweepers who are cleaning the area need to be provided electric operated garbage collection trucks for improving the efficiency and the no. of trips the sweepers can make.
The street lights keep on burning even when we have power cuts. They need to off the light when proper light comes in the day. They also put on the light much before the sunlight. Irresponsible attitude.
