The new Chief Engineer of MSEDCL has improved services. For months my readings were not taken and I was getting a wrong reading and several times, their men had come to disconnect the meter even though I had paid my dues. After I complained several times, now it has settled down and things look better. They send sms for taking the readings and also give accurate readings. The only thing that bothers me is that the bills do not reach on time and hence we are forced to pay an extra Rs.20/- every month. Secondly, the power supply in Sahney Sujan Park has been erratic since 1991 when we first moved here and it is still the same. The PM had promised us 24x7 electricity if he was voted to power, alas it is only a dream!
Power cuts are announced in advance but too frequent..Customer service has improved and by and large no issues.. Electricity charges are high especially above 101 units as most of the middle class consume 300 units pm approx. Needs a relook
