I would appreciate if authorities look into the possibility of making the over-bridge more senior citizen friendly and also provide ramps so that luggages can be carried easily. Besides, this station has only single point entry where it tends get clogged with passengers and people who come to see them off. One of the reasons could be that everything is located at the entrance, i.e. ticket counters, indicators, vendor stalls, TCs' rooms etc. I feel there is enough space available in the station to de-congest the entrance and re-arrange the services/facilities. However, I am quite happy with the cleanliness of the station.

Vijayawada is definitely a very big station in the South. The trains to Vijayawada are regularly detained at the outer for at least an hour. The Railway Authorities should either find innovative ways to reduce the time for stoppages at the outer. As regards station it is definitely cleaner than Pune, Mumbai and other stations in the South. The staff at the station should be courteous which unfortunately is not so.l

The platform over-bridges at Mangalore station are not Senior Citizen friendly. Both have only steps but not ramps.

Passengers from far away places, after a journey of 15-20 hours are made to wait near Nethravathi Bridge for 20-25 minutes to reach the station which only about 1.5 KM away. From Nethravathi bridge to Mangalore central it is only single track.The tracks are to be doubled. At least two more platforms are also to be constructed at Mangalore Central to handle the frequency of arrivals and departures at this station.
