This being a corrupted area, our expectation of booking such culprits didn't happen. Some extend, tender procedures are changed. Still lot more changes required.

- Loads of expectation, lots of change required
- We thought we would see the illegal mines closed down - but no action here - they are after all mostly politicians and supporters

The worst corrupt practices existed in the Coal sector and the Government has tried its level best to stop corruption - while continuing growth. The re allocation of coal fields based on competition and scrapping of the corrupt-allocation of earlier government has proved its commitment to end corruption.

The usage of coal in power generation is to be enhanced - even though we have become self dependent in power production by almost doubling its generating capacity - so that we could export it to the neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal etc. We could even Export coal and setup power plants in these countries to help them meet power crisis.

Overall performance is above average
