Labour laws should be modernised. Today's labor force is not the same as 50 years ago. It is more educated, better informed and mobile. Old archaic laws that were required to help labour are now a hindrance to employers. Keep in mind that business is a voluntary activity and nobody can be forced to run a business if he does not wish to do so. Employees can resign and leave at any time and so employers should be given similar rights to ask employees to leave/shut down the business, with due compensation to employees.

We have the most unhireable people in this country. Reservations and the lowering of educational standards has destroyed the very fabric of the people and the market. This is totally corroding the name we have as a country of educated and well trained manpower resource across the world. Countries like China, Philippines etc have political and people support to make their people meet international standards of hireability. When will we as a country turn the tide and our thinking.
