The small stretch of Highway of about ten kms. connecting the Coimbatore Bye Pass Road with Walayar in Kerala , is under construction for the last six years. The company entrusted is bankrupt, They start work and STOP every two months. Presently the work is at a standstill, and the alternate roads provided are in a very bad shape with large craters , damaging vehicles, and slowing down traffic., and leading to accidents.
It is time the Govt cancel the contract given to IVRCL is terminated, the bank guarantee forfeited and the work is completed by NHAI , so that the public is not put to hardship

The Ministry is doing great work, specially with conceptualizing and planning, but unfortunately execution is lacking, the NHAI staff should be trained to act and be user friendly. The Coimbatore Bye Pass Road under L&T does not have the facility of FASTag and the new four lane road thereafter till Walayar has not yet been completed, with work going on for the last nearly ten years for a distance of only 16 kms
