Swachh Bharat is a worthy cause badly executed by the Govt. There is no check on local civic body corruption. Municipal Commissioners most of them think of themselves as god are corrupt and not kept in check by mayor, cms or central government. They look at swachha bharat or smart city as a way to contacts, kickbacks and cut. Till there is a defined process and checks, all these surveys like swachh survekshan 2017 are nothing but feel good. khidki mein resham ka kapda, aandar khane ko bhi nahi, that describes swachh bharat best.

CONSERVATION OF WATER: Ground level water is depleting day by day. To conserve water, rainwater harvesting may please be adopted in all Central Government offices and their residential colonies. Now a days, roads in certain Central Government offices in Bhubaneswar, Odisha are constructed with cemented bricks as a measure of rain water harvesting(Ground level). But the misery is that the cemented bricks are laid on concrete roads in the office premises which has no relation to rain water harvesting at ground level. Further, rooftop rain water harvesting in all Central Government offices and their residential colonies may be adopted immediately to reduce depletion of ground water level. Further, solar power panels may be installed in all Central Govt. offices and their residential colonies to utilise solar energy to the maximum extent and reduce their electricity bill.
