MTNL broadband service is not good as we face frequent problems of disconnection and the phone out of service. Complaints are attended very slowly and repeated complaints brings a technician home! Would like to change over to another service provider.

MTNL Broadband Service is giving satisfactory service. However at times there are frequent disconnections and problems of slow speed. MTNL needs to increase their Server Capacity. One major issue faced by senior citizens is that a rebate is given by MTNL on landline rental. However if the same land line is used for MTNL Broadband then the rebate is withdrawn. This is an Unfair Trade Practice by MTNL. A representation made to higher authorities to give 25% rebate on broadband packages to senior citizens did not get a favorable response.

MTNL BROAD BAND SERVICE speed day by day is getting slower Just from 15th of every month an automated message is received that you have Exceeded your limit and so the speed will be reduced. Otherwise you have to go for Top Up plan some thing has to be done otherwise it will end up in paying higher & higher for lower & lower speed.

The MTNL Broadband Service is going down day by day as they keep on increasing the tariff. From 495 , it has increased to Rs 650 by MTNL one fine day saying that , if you want fast BroadBand you have to opt for 650 plan. Though the plan is "Unlimited Download" . Just around 10th of every month , they sent an automated message that you have "Exceeded" your limit and henceforth the speed will be reduced. Otherwise you opt for Top Up at a price. As such there is no difference in speed either Before or Aftter 10th as both are LOW with lot of interruptions. Reason - Your Telephone line is faulty ? As if I am responsible for it. No wonder the entity is making huge losses and Govt is thinking or merging it with BSNL (God knows what will happen then ?)
