Electric crematoriums run by Mumbai municipal Corporation are being run efficiently. However there is need to have more Electric Crematoriums in Mumbai as it provides eco-friendly disposal of dead bodies as compared to wooden pyres.

The Oshiwara crematorium is badly run down and in urgent need of restoration. A crematorium needs to be a place of natural beauty and peace. Much more can be done to provide solace to grieving members, and allow dignity to the dead.
