You must be joking right, the BMC has thousands of Employees on their payroll; yet they have outsourced cleaning to some politically connected or well connected contractors. The question is why, because we Indians are foolish. We pay taxes to various Government bodies because the well paid well secured officials will practice corruption, never repair roads properly subsequently never even get the roads cleaned properly. The whole BMC is a Corrupt body which should be handed over to the citizens/soldiers for maintenance; politicians and bureaucrats have only made money for themselves. But we have to live with that because our own Maharashtrian parties have been the most corrupt who have exploited BMC from 70 years, just desperately wishing that our PM would instruct our CM to do something for our BMC.

Roads should be suitable for pedestrians too. There is cattle shit on the roads which makes it difficult to walk.

This is because we are too much busy is our achievement towards goals of life. And no time to look at basics. Neither raise a question nor to tell somebody you are doing wrong , those who are responsible.

Though we see garbage trucks and clean up vehicles on the road aplenty, the ground realty is that even at spots where they have just collected the garbage from, the spot is extremely dirty, and smelly. This needs to be tackled as it can spread infections faster and encourage mosquitoes and other pests.
