In Garodianagar, Ghatkopar East, where our Minister Prakashji Mehta and Corporator Falguni Dave got elected, the road conditions are worst and full of potholes. Autos refuse to ply to Garodianagar. Since Municipal elections are around, they may carry out the work after October 2016 to gain cheap popularity and bargain for votes. Shame on them.
Road quality and maintenance in Mumbai is very poor. Road cleaning is also very poor.No attention is paid to foot path. Firstly these are very poorly maintained, secondly no cleaning is done for years together. Dustbins are not there,if at all it is there,it is not cleared regularly. Road side vendors and citizens are equally responsible. We should learn from developed countries.Fines should be hefty and punishment should be severe.

It needs improvement.1)Timely garbage collection specially during non peak hours.2)Footpath cleaning is a must .Any road /Footpath repair should be of very good quality,it should be such that it should last atleast for 5 years without any defect.

Road cleaning in Mumbai is average. There is lot of scope for improvement.Maintenance of footpath is very poor.I think these are never cleaned. With the result it is very difficult to walk on foot path.
BMC employees do only superficial work. Today I saw two sweepers cleaning the area around a bus stop near Santacruz police station. I was shocked one sweeper cleaning only half the rubbish and collecting in a heap. The other sweeper partially collects that rubbish leaving some rubbish there only. In effect, only about 35-40% of the rubbish on the road was cleaned, collected and removed leaving the road still dirty. BMC sweepers get hefty salaries, more than even officers in some establishments, for not doing their work. Is this the administration?
