I am staying at Santacruz West near station.. Sky walk goes above the road. Near Each and every pillar of sky walk are dump with garbage. I think only 1%of cleanliness has been improved. Need more efforts and put garbage bins every 50 mitres.
I am a resident of Wadala (E), Mumbai. In general cleanliness in Mumbai has improved quite a bit.But still there's lots to be done. Mumbai roads are still in a pathetic condition. Shaikh Mistry Road in Wadala is in a very very bad shape with patchy shoddy work done by the BMC. Roads & Gutters have sunk in and are a hazard to motorists as well as pedestrians. Since yesterday the silt from the gutters have been removed and kept at the side on the road as usual. When even light showers come, the silt goes back in the gutter. The silt kept outside on the road beside the gutter, stinks badly and is a health hazard to all. Also encroachments on wadala bridge starting from Don Bosco shelter till mid bridge on both the sides. Few months ago these hutments were demolished but the people stayed put on the footpaths and now with the rains, bamboos and tarpatri have been put up and the huts are back. No action is being taken by the BMC. These hutments not only use the footpath but use half of the road by putting their furniture, bathing on the road and lighting a fire and cooking on the road. There is absolutely no space fr pedestrians to walk during peak hours. Last week I have made online complaints on the bmc site but neither have I received any reply from them nor do i see any repairs being done. Can the concerned authorities please wake up and do their jobs for which they are hired.
