Mumbai police is doing good job. there are some problems but they are with all government departments even in private organisations, they are more worked and less paid. example Maharashtra police inspectors were on par with tahsildars but now the tahsildars has basic pay 15600 and police inspector basic pay is 9300. what a pity

refusal of not filing FIRs (they prefer NCs) ; corruption ; threats are some of the common occurences. But when it comes to a VIP or a co police man then the speed at which orders are executed are shocking.
However, many of them are honest, sincere, and indeed very helpful to the senior citizens.
