Mumbai Police

We have a pub that plays super loud music and disturbs the peace of senior citizens in our complex. Despite complaining to the police they are unable to do anything to stop it. Owner himself told us that going to police is not going to help.
There is a furniture shop that blares azaan at very loud volumes multiple times through the day. Till today nothing has been done about it.

The Police is the MAN ON THE SPOT in any situation. Instead of being friendly and helpful, mostly they are harassing the people one way or other. Hence, people perceive the Police to be unhelpful and unfriendly. If the Senior officials in Police force in all Departments take their role very seriously and endeavour to be helpful, without ignoring their important role, the Police can become a trusted friend and trustworthy guide. Corruption, especially at lower level, should be weeded out.

I reside at Shankarpadan Dhanukarwadi at Konkan Residency. It is surrounded by partly by slums. Inspite of telling them BMC water is spilled over by illegal connections. Though BMC RS ward has been informed, but hardly any progress. Filth is thrown around. I hire people to keep it clean, even Laljipada police have informed told. Though police promptly come but after 1-2 days same thing happens.
Honking by both Rikshaws and Taxi /cars. Even at traffic light they are honking. Rules to be amended to penalize heavily and warning notice to be issued on licence. defaulters photo to be placed on news paper and other media to constrain them.

The traffic police should stop extracting bribes and become citizen friendly by insisting on reducing sound and exhaust pollution, make drivers follow lanes strictly, honour traffic lights and speed restriction signs
