There is absolutely no such thing as management of garbage anywhere in Ghaziabad. At every mandi, every main market, every shop, the daily routine is to sweep all the garbage to one corner and then set it on fire. After midnight, please have someone from NGT to take a drive in Ghaziabad. There is so much fumes that one would choke and you can barely see anything beyond 20 metres even during summers. In every residential area, the garbage mafia collects rubbish on carts and then dumps it at some corner and sets it on fire. People who sweep leaves and other things on streets, put all rubbish at a corner and set it on fire. Builders, contractors flout all NGT norms and use tractors to transport mud and rubble. They in turn spread half of the stolen sand on the roads. Dust EVERYWHERE. Every mechanic shop, plastic shop, plastic factory, sets their waste on fire. Digging digging and digging. No progress on that ever. No sewer lines get laid, no water supply lines. Chinese street lamps, transformers that in turn add to the eco damaging waste. And WORST OF EVERYTHING - the encroachments EVERYWHERE. The amount of rubbish they generate and throw their waste and plastic into storm water drains is preposterous. And also every 5 days the people here seem to have some festival or other for which massive tents are set up and junk food distributed again adding to so much plastic waste.
