At Vashi, sector 15, I request more awareness posters/placards are to be put every where and also at schools/Colleges . Also there are no garbage bins in the lanes at all. Earlier plastic wall mounting bins (I feel those were manufactured with re-cycled plastic) were provided but were not strong, hence broken fast. In place of posters of leaders, those spaces are to be utilized for awareness about 'TO KEEP THE CITY CLEAN'. Posters should be placed at every 100 Mtrs. distance.
This city is now supposed to be converted to a smart city. Lots of work to be done on many fronts. First it must be a very clean city. No garbage to be visible in any place. Discipline to be maintained in parking cars, two wheelers and buses on the road. Good quality of lighting needed to illuminate the road and junction. Lighting fixtures used for high mast poles are ineffective. It hardly lights the area the way it should be. Proper beautification of gardens and parks are required. Sector-17 Vashi garden can be a model. Traffic police should be more vigilant to maintain traffic rules. Nobody should drive in wrong direction. Manhole covers on side walk should be in place. Roads must be fully paved (edge of roads are often found bare) in order to have the city dust free. Huge improvement is required on west side of Nerul station and its surrounding. No unauthorised signboard anywhere should be visible.
Street/s condition & housekeeping is very poor in nature. Needs 98% improvement. Though efforts may be put by Local Municipal Council; those are futile. People in area also needs to be alerted towards housekeeping & maintaining cleanliness at self. Control over Stray dogs is necessary. Wastage of electrical energy: Street Lights are not getting OFF even beyond 08:00 hrs in the morning. Wastage of nation and crime to lit street lights during day time. People are paying Tax for this which is wasted by this way. Whenever, undermentioned sees to such phenomenon; always used to inform local concern officer to take action. But truly say; Government officials are thick skinned. They don't bother about these type of happenings. If a minister is arriving in a particular area, housekeeping is done on top priority with utmost cleanliness. As soon as the minister vanishes from the area, nobody looks to the area for housekeeping / cleanliness. Such attitude of government officials is causing acceleration to various disease like dengue due to mosquito breeding and breeding of other nasty / harmful creatures. Who would Control This? Thanking everybody for spending their valuable time to go through the message. Regards. Shrikant M. Sathe
