State of Traffic Police in Noida is just TERRIBLE. There is total chaos everywhere, whether on the roads leading to Delhi/ DND or roads leading to Ghaziabad. Traffic lights are in shambles. Many traffic lights are not easily visible and are obstructed by other poles/ pillars, etc. Even if traffic stops at a red light, most 2 wheelers are trying to get in front, by driving from which ever space is availabl;e., the left turn (usually a free left turn, cannot be done since the left lane is blocked by 2 wheelers or cars. Traffic Police does nothing about this. Even the crossing on which the DM's bungalow is located has the same problems. Unfortunately no action is taken by any authority in Noida to clear the mess. The same drivers of 2-wheelers or 4-wheelers become such law-abiding citizens, no soner they have crossed over to Delhi (like Bheegi Billi).
There is hardly any policing worth mentioning. At Brahmputra market, there is total chaos and the Policw prefers not to be present there during peak traffic times. Also they allow unauthorised encroachment by vegetable and fruit sellers and Razai wallahs on the footpath thereby reducing the parking space for cars. Similar situation exists at Atta crossing where you find motor cyclists breaking the law with impunity. It is a disappointing state.

Actually one does not know if the Traffic Police has any presence at all, the traffic is in total chaos. Only Pollution check is done for reasons best known to everyone.
The level of crime seems to be going up going by news paper reports. This trend needs to be arrested at the earliest. Otherwise the past image of Noida as crimeprone, which had adversely affected Noida, will return. Noida was beginning to be viewed as a good location for both residential and business purposes. This might suffer. Taffic is becoming a nightmare. Total lawlessness and chaos prevails on the roads. There is virtually no control of traffic violators. Traffic enters from all sides; erikshaws and three wheelers observe no traffic discipline. Road space is encroached by sellers of all kinds, cattle sit in the middle, people cross anywhere nd everywhere. Traffic police is hardly visible, and do not appear to be effective even when present. Traffic planning is most unprofessional. Suddenly some roads are made one way without regard to convenience considerations of general public. Then one way stipulations are enforced half-heartedly. People enter from the wrong side and create chaos. As noted earlier Traffic police is rarely seen and is not effective even when present. Traffic violations continue right under their noses but no body is bothered. Something needs to be done urgently for better traffic management. Otherwise Noida will become unliveable. Another crucial dimension of liveability is extremely poor sanitation. Litter is strewn everwhere. Drains are clogged and stink. There is hardly any effort at maintaining cleanliness, be it roads, shopping areas or colonies. Noida is becoming a filthy place. Even hough Delhi is not a very good in cleanliness matters either but the comparison is stark when one considers the poor state of cleanliness in Noida.
