My suggestion is In Tamil nadu we don't need DESAL plants as we have many rivers all over Tamil Nadu, WHat we should do is we should make Tamil Nadu to capable of holding the rain water with in Land before it reaches the Ocean. So that the ground water level will increase and more over increase the water local storage systems like many ponds. If we make Desal plants then again we have to think of Environmental effect on Global Warming which we can avoid.

The drinking water is precious and all efforts are to be made either by of WB loans or SPVs to get the DESAL plants installed all over the coastal TN districts to get this implemented successfully. We can look into the countries like Middle East where drinking water is always scarce . The water is one subject that cannot be ignored.
