1)Builders sell unsold properties at double price.PMC fixes the property tax at 40-50% higher than the tax paid by those who booked the same properties and taken over at original price.However,builders neither pay any property tax to PMC for the unsold properties nor transfer the title in the name of buyer after selling the property. Helpless buyer has to pay the entire amount of unpaid tax and penalty at the higher rate before transferring the title. After that appeal to review the tax amount to bring it at par with other same design / type / sq.ft.area, its only harassment to the buyer, but never done years after submission of appeal for review. 2) Full Property tax bills for 2016-17 were uploaded in the first week of April 2016.Those who paid the tax online expecting to avail 10% discount like previous years, had to pay the full amount without any discount. However, PMC declared 5 / 10% discount on the bills sent after 24th April 2016, if paid in full before 30th June 2016 . Those who paid the tax in full without 10% discount should be refunded.

New buildings coming up on Keshav Nagar Road are neither serviced by PMC nor fully by the Gram Panchayat except collecting garbage. To whom the builders are transferring the titles of the buyers is not known. Neither property Tax bills are received by the owners of properties nor Mutation Certificates are issued to the owners. Roads are not maintained by any agency.No drinking water supply to the building complexes.
As regards to property tax is concern, I would like to draw attention towards property which are not listed on property tax list. I thing although corporation body is giving services like light, sewage line, water supply but in return the corporation body is not getting any benefit and there is huge loss of revenue.
Erratic calculations and nobody to go to to ask clarifications. Whatever is the bill received needs to be paid. Only saving grace is that the online payment system works very efficiently.
