As far as power is concerned, the city area as well as outer city areas, does not have much problems. The billing software, security deposit, changing burnt/dead meters continues to be nightmare. The vigilance department of the company needs to catch BIG Fish for pilferage of power (bijli chori). While the power theft for domestic use may be on a smaller scale, theft in Industrial units must be checked.
It has improved a lot but still it has a long way to go. Unless you have two three power suppliers in area the level of services are unlikely to improve. Competition is a must for improvement in service.
