Power theft is one of the biggest problem responsible for the huge losses suffered by the Nigam. Corrupt officials and dadagiri of politicians is responsible. Officials dare not go to Jhuggi colonies where unauthorised connections are taken directly from poles by unscrupulous residents for fear of local netas.
Industries are another source of theft. Factory owners in collusion with Nigam officials manipulate bills and temper with meters.
No one is answerable for the thefts.
The AEN/JEN incharge of the area should be held responsible for the thefts and their CRs should be based on the level of losses due to theft.

Corruot officials
