They are not supplying the food mentioned in the menu of irctc. They are selling packets of so called veg biryani, very poor in quality and quantity, not at all sufficient for one person. I registered a complaint with the Railways tele-complaint. Upon their suggestion I called Helpline 138. A catering inspector of Guntur Circle made his presence felt (was it just a show?), and came and shouted at the pantry staff. I pointed to him that the plate of meal as mentioned in the menu consists of 6 items that include pickle and drinking water. They did not supply even the water. On top of it they were charging everyone 60 to 80 rupees per packet of this so called veg biryani, whereas the menu says it is Rs.50/-They are making fools of people. The uneducated, not knowing the menu rates paid 80 rupees per packet. It is very obvious that the employees of the railways are hand in glove with the pantry contractors and are supplying food that is outside the menu. When questioned, the pantry management told me that they do not have time to cook full meals as mentioned in the menu, as they take charge of the pantry at 11am. When I demanded my money back, they returned the 50 rupees that I had paid them. I travelled hungry the entire length of the journey. This is a major scam of the railways. Unless they have the sympathies of the top brass such things cannot happen. I demand a full fledged enquiry that should come out with the facts. Those guilty however big may be have to pay for the inconvenience that I went through. Imagine... every day crores of rupees are being swindled by these criminals, and we travel hungry.

When this is a train "Chennai-Mysuru" that is loved by most and is very useful, why the service is stopped on particular day every week? Please stop that stopping and improve your maintenance works to run it evryday

*cptive catering not desirable . Unwanted and undesiarable stuff catered . Leave the choice to the passengers to order.
* stops near the metro cities must to reduce crowd in the terminii stations . Like perambur near Chennai and Cantonnement and K.R.Puram in Bengaluru.
*At bengaluru citi rly station the over crowding results due to passengers getting down and passengers boarding in to Mysuru.
* Toilets eed regular cleaning

* stops near the metro cities must to reduce crowd in the terminii stations . Like in Perambur near Chennai and Cantonnement and K.R.Puram in Bengaluru.The stops should be in either directions. This will reduce the the crowd in the central station and Bengaluru city railway stations.

* Toilets fittings need regular maintaining .

Expensive , slow train. And railways had added additional surcharge. 3rd grade food.
