A complaint has been received the content of which reflected fraudulent practices of the company. This compelled me to write a review for the information of the consumers to take care if they are planning to buy through this site. Further I tried to browse other public domain to find out if such practices as adapted by the site is common to other buyers. I am quoting three examples, one from the complaint escalated and other two from the public domains.

No. 1: The complaint as received on 21st May for the order dtd. 13th April 2015.
"Please Help us - we need protection of such frouds.
This is to inform you that I had placed order for an electronics item i.e Mobile Phone. But still
shoponindia didn't delivered even after receiving payment of the product. I got offer calls and regular
calling has been made by these contact numbers.

Now representative told me that mobile will not deliver because they had made froud and they are sales
person having capability of doing so. shoponindia ofen makes people fool by providing such offer.
Today's telephonic conversation with shoponindia, i came to know that nobody take action against this
froud. Representative said ' we are froud".

Now I have option to escalate whole matter with the help of media and police. So that you couldn't
make fool other innocent people....Indian."
No. 2:
"i ganesh katake from ahmednagar maharashtra booked a samsung grand 2 phone on shop on india website on dated 13 january 2015. by discussion with the person named sumit. beacouse he called me and told the policy that we are provding the electronic goods at only 6999.00 rupee. and also you will get free gift voucher that providing from our shoponindia site by booking with us. and give me assurity to get the mobile upto 17 of january.
On the next day i got the call from shoponindia and tell me you won the car and you have to pay 56000 rupees in our account i told him i dont want any car and you give me only mobile in 6999 but they are forcing me to pay 20000 rupees minimum after that only we give you mobile, i didint pay amount 20000 and on 15 jan they told me to pay 10000 and then we courier your mobile and gift from there side that time i dont pay any money to them. and person who told with me we are not give anything till you pay money in our account.
so till date i dont get mobile phone and, and they telling me that you cant do anything to us. below are the details of order.

"I am also a victim of Shoponindia.
They have sent me a link which listed 7 branded Products at Rs.6999 ( shoponindia.com/products/index/deals6999). But i got only 4 products out of 7 and all products were fake. There was no price or brand Tag, no product Code etc.

All products are duplicate which you can buy in a local market at Rs.200 to 300. Please do not buy any product. I checked all products on website, if you notice you won't find any brand code, MRP, no retailer information on this website.

Only a picture of the product with a note that product may differ etc etc with some. When I called them to replace or return the product, agents (Abhishek, Ramesh) clearly said that condition was written on the web site and they will not refund the money.
