The problem of Andhra politics is the involvement of businessmen as well as their entire families in politics in the past 15 years initiated by the Congress. Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy is a classic example. He has the money to spend & by votes at the time of elections and after being elected simply gets back to carrying out his business activities and using political connections and authority to improve family businesses. His brother was an MLA. His son is a current MLA. But, absolutely no work done on the ground by any of them except bhajan of YSR and his son Jaganmohan Reddy. I really doubt that he even attended Parliament sessions regularly. His party has anyway boycotted the state assemly sessions and hence, his whole family are getting salaries without any work on the ground. Hope political parties make it a policy not to give tickets to businessmen as well as to family members of existing politicians. There should also be a limit to their terms in power just like the President of India has.
