Must remember that Narender Modi is the PM of India when economic living standards of individuals are fairly good, when compared with what we had in the early Fifties, with lots of opportunities to progress, despite tremendous unexpected population rise far surpassing the planned programmes for economic growth. I would like to remind our country men that at the time of Partition in 1947 to which I am a witness, we had almost nothing to produce, even the needles and shirt buttons were imported. The companies like Hindustan Lever were a few which were retained by then Government in order to keep the minimum economic activity lest India goes phut. I remember vividly when then PM Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru invited the Indian business men like Dalmiyas, Tatas, Birlas, and others few at the time to come forward and settle in their industries in the backward regions, they all denied saying there would not be any returns on investments. Then America refused to set up business in the backward regions, and wanted all payments in dollars. And, the circumstances forced Pt Nehru government to reach out to then USSR who agreed to work in the backward regions and received payments in rupees. Hence, came up the steel plants, ordnance factories, Industrial Training Institutes (the skill development), et al in the backward regions which appreciably developed the hinterland which the present government at the Centre denies and it is bad that the PM Modi said in 2014 that he was ashamed of having born in India. Intolerance is another issue that goes against Modi, and there are many more. There is absolutely no abatement in corruption and it is evident in the statement of the industrialist Adani before the general elections when he said "We help him, because he helps us." In what way Modi helps the Adanis, and Adanis return in what form, is difficult to say.
Well, yet, Narender Modi is doing his best to improve the living conditions of the countrymen - in the name of all inclusive. He has done some of the very good things like removing subsidy on LPG Cylinders, opening up of Bank Accounts, and a few more. And, I would loudly say that he must be given full opportunity and supported spiritedly to show up the outcomes by the time next general elections come up.
Narender Modi will do a wonderful job if he instead of raiding houses for unaccounted money, attempts to remove provisions in the rules and procedures that generate black money which, today, is an important element in the economic growth of the country - 75%-85% of the capital investment is in unaccounted form. This way the suicides of the likes of BK Bansals will not take place, and till such time the rules and procedures are made fool proof there should be no investigation by the likes of CBI for unearthing black money.
