Road cleaning, Garbage collection from roads and streets is almost non-existant. It is almost two years when this Swach Abhiyan was started with great hopes but to our surprise it appears to have die down. There is no effort on the part of municipality to take any initiative on this account. This kind of effort need to be done on collective basis. People are very keen and understand the importance of
cleanliness but without the support of Govt. agencies it is difficult to make it a success. When this is the situation in Dwarka, the other parts of Delhi are worst. There was a talk of garbage segregation and collect in three different bins to start from Dwarka from 1st Jun, what happened to that. There was supposed to be mechanical cleaning of roads but where and when?? The garbage bins are over flowing, all around garbage is spread. Even the Swach tax is being collected but with no sign of Swachhta. You can still find people urinating in the open close to Metro stations and other isolated areas with impunity.
