The EB department is in a deplorable condition. When material replacements are required the stock answer is " No Stock". Or in situations where materials are brought, they expect money to be paid. Even for cable replacement money is openly demanded. Corruption is rampant in this department. The higher ups in the department say they have no people to do the EB work. The Top Management of the department plus the Goverment has to look into the way the equipments like transformers and pillar boxes are maintained. It's horrible at present. The department thinks they are doing us a favour by attending to problems which are created by their own inefficiencies and ineptitude. Corruption is rampant in this department.
I see a marginal improvement in the TNEB / TANGEDCO in the past 2 years . But money plats a role in the lower rungs . the A.E upwards has improved . Yet tehe lower downs always take money for any replacement and say there is no stock and don't give receipts .The fault service attendance is very good.

The manual response from the staff on complaint is very polite . That solves the mental agony even when we in the process of getting baked in 41o C But the supply is erratic voltage low. The government could have some regulatory measures for the power consumption in Government offices .
Daily powercut at night between 10.30 pm and 2.00 pm at Krishnapuram street,Cholaimeedu- Chenna- 94. Near dadha school/ power situation very pathetic. really something has to be done. No one is bothered. Power pillars is still not changed and a transformer promised between RBI quarters and Krishnapuram st end, still not installed. EWe didn't have AE for long, now new AE has taken over since 2 months. gone from bad to worse. Not enough people to man the Night shifts.
