Bad situation in mylapore area.Frequent power cuts,faults and varying volatage levels spoiling motors,electronic equipments.Poor maintenace.

Power goes off very often irrespective whether it day or night, weekday or weekend. power distribution at North Chennai is worst based on my experience

As is known, TNEB is better known as TANGEDCO in Chennai. It is one of the many TN Govt. undertakings which continues to give the ruling party in the State a Negative image. The State may be ruled by DMK coaltion or an AIADMK coalition - it does not matter to TANGEDCO at all. THEY CONTINUE TO METE OUT PATHETIC SERVICE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE BYWORD IS
" NOTHING WILL MOVE IN TANGEDCO WITHOUT THE VITAMIN M " . Once the needed Vitamin amount is settled and paid, the
TANGEDCO people will move the mountain for you...!!!...
In case of Power failiure, the local fuse office will KEEP THE PHONE DOWN so that HE IS NOT DISTURBED.....!!!... ( Once during such a Power failiure, I contacted the fuse office thru a Local Telephone exchange source and the man in the counter has the
audacity to tell me that " HE IS TIRED OF ANSWERING THE PUBLIC COMPLAINTS AND HENCE HAS KEPT THE PHONE DOWN " .!!.).
If the EB man comes to attend to some fault in the local area transformer, he expects to be " GREASED " OR ELSE HE WILL NOT COME NEXT TIME...!!!... Regarding Voltage fluctuations in the Line - the less said the better..!!... The EB man himself advises you
to put in place a Voltage Stabiliser for your TV, for your Washing Machine etc etc. It leads you to think whether these EB people are the unofficial " SALES CANVASSERS " for many popular brands of Voltage Stabilisers....!!!.....
If you happen to visit an EB office for paying your bills - you would wish, you did'nt..!!!. The office will be one of the most Dingy, Shady, Dark HELL HOLE - that will give you the creeps. If the office has six counters, three will not be manned and only two counters will receive Cash or Cheque. Whereas all the counters will have a fan over the cashier's head the HALL ON THE PUBLIC'S SIDE WILL HAVE ONLY ONE FAN WHICH WILL TRUDGE LIKE A 1927 BULLOCK CART...!!!.. ( IT IS A " WONDERFUL SCENARIO " ON AN APRIL/MAY MONTH AFTER NOON - WHEN YOU GO THERE TO PAY YOUR BILLS ..!!.. ) All said, this EB or TANGEDCO could be
conveniently disbanded and save the TN Govt. considerable money on account of Real estate and Labour cost. The job could
be handed over to a private entity for smoother running and better service to public at large.

TANGEDCO IS A PERFECT PICTURE OF CORRUPTION IN NOT ONLY THE CURRENT AIADMK GOVT BUT ALSO THE DMK GOVT. IT IS ONE ENTITY WHERE NOTHING MOVES WITHOUT THE INGREDIENT CALLED " VITAMIN M " EVEN FOR A MINOR MOST WORK AND IF YOU ARE READY TO PAY - YOU CAN GET ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING DONE (LEGAL AND ILLEGAL ) IN THIS PARTICULAR GOVT. ENTITY. FURTHER, I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT EVEN IF THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT SEES REASON IN THE CUSTOMER'S REQUEST FOR SERVICE AND THE WORKERS DOWN THE LINE DO NOT SEE SO - THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT DO NOT " ENFORCE " THEIR DECISION ..!!.. THE GOVT.'S TOLL FREE NUMBER AND THE " FAULT REPORTING LINE " DO NOT ANSWER YOUR CALLS EVEN DURING THE OFFICE HOURS LEAVE ALONE AFTER 1800 HOURS OR DURING NIGHT HOURS EMERGENCY. DURING THE PREVIOUS DMK REGIME CITIZEN HAD ACCESS TO A TELEPHONE NUMBER CALLED " MINISTER'S CELL " FOR REPORTING UNDUE DELAYS IN THE RECTIFICATION OF TRANSFORMER BREAKDOWN, LINE TRIPPING ETC ETC BUT AFTER THE COMING IN OF THE CURRENT AIADMK REGIME - EVEN THIS FACILITY HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN AND ORDINARY CITIZEN HAVE BEEN LEFT TO THEIR FATE ..!!..WISH THE CM DOES SOMETHING SERIOUS ABOUT THIS GOVT ENTITY..!!!....

TANGEDCO in Chennai is the most indifferent State Govt. organisation after METRO WATER. In fact, I do not agree with Mr Sarathi at all and I have reasons to feel that HE IS AN AIADMK supporter to talk about so favourably about TANGEDCO. So much so - with the improved Power output and availability, TANGEDCO could have worked wonders to uplift the image of CM but, THEY HAVE FAILED MISERABLY. IF THERE IS A FUSE CALL, LOCAL FUSE OFFICE WOULD NOT LIFT THE TELEPHONE AT ALL.....LEAVE ALONE TALK ABOUT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL. EVERY TIME THE LINE MAN VISITS YOUR LOCALITY TO ATTEND THE FUSE CALL, THEY NEED " VITAMIN M " or THEY WILL NOT COME NEXT TIME. IF THE FUSE BLOW OUT HAPPENS ON A SATURDAY, ONLY GOD CAN HELP YOU. I AM NOT SAYING ONCE THAT IN DMK TIME IT WAS BETTER BUT IN DMK'S TIE YOU HAD A DIRECT TELEPHONE LINE TO THE MINISTER'S OFFICE, IN CASE OF DELAY. AND YOU CAN GET QUICKER RESULTS. IN FACT, METRO WATER AND EB OFFICE CONTRIBUTE A GREAT DEAL OF " NEGATIVE IMAGE TO PRESENT AIADMK GOVT.

Phones are always busy, there is no proper communication about power shutdown
